Zoning Regulations
Zoning regulations and by-laws regulate land use and whether particular parcels are to remain open or can have structures erected upon them. Access to our zoning resources such as zoning maps, by-laws and re-zoning applications can be found below.
Environmental Policies
To ensure our town’s footprint within the pristine wilderness that surrounds us is kept in check, a number of environmental policies were created that must be adhered to both prior to and during any construction process.
Housing Needs Assessment
The provincial government requires that local governments prepare a housing needs report every five years. This report is a descriptive analysis of the current housing needs and issues across the TNRD and aims to strengthen local understanding of what kinds of housing are needed, and inform local plans, policies, and development decisions.
This report can be used by community members, the broader public, service and housing providers, and by
local and regional governments to understand current housing needs, projected community growth in terms of
population and households, and future housing need over the next five years from 2021 to 2026.
