Banner Contest Rules and Guidelines
The District of Logan Lake will be holding a Community Banner Contest that will showcase the natural setting and outdoor activities that Logan Lake has to offer. We will be looking for summer and winter designs in the following categories in the theme of “Discover Our Nature”

- Sports / Recreation;
- Wildlife / Nature;
- Beauty / Landscape;
- Culture / Heritage;
How to Enter
The contest is open to Logan Lake residents, of any age, and Local Indigenous Artists. Submissions will be received until April 30, 2025.
To enter, participants must complete the entry and waiver form, as well as provide a brief explanation about your submission and how it relates to the banner theme. Submissions will be accepted in paper form or digital form at the Municipal Office, #1 Opal Drive, Logan Lake, or online at: www.loganlake.ca/banner-contest-2025.

Eligibility and Copyright
- District of Logan Lake employees and family members are eligible for this contest;
- The artist will not retain sole copyright for their artwork;
- The District of Logan Lake will have unlimited reproduction rights to all contest submissions;
- Only one entry per contestant.

Criteria
Entries can be from any of the following visual arts:
- Digital art;
- Collage;
- Painting or drawing;
- Printmaking.
Collages, drawing, paintings and printmaking can be photographed and uploaded along with your application or brought into the Municipal Office.
Design requirements
- Design must reflect elements of category;
- Artwork must be original by artist submitting;
- Save file as artist’s full name;
- Design is for one side of street banner pole;
- Banner will be hung vertically, portrait oriented images only size 24″ x 48″, make design to proportional scale;
- Design in full color and intensity;
- Minimal use of text;
- The District of Logan Lake logo may be added to the top or bottom of all submissions, so please bear that in mind when creating your artwork.
Prizes
Winners will receive a street banner of the winner’s design. The design will be displayed on the District of Logan Lake Website from May to December 2025.
District Staff and/or Council members will make up the judication panel. Selection criteria will be based on creativity, uniqueness, and quality of presentation and images that reflect the theme.
