The primary role of the Corporate Administration Department is to provide information services to the public; manage public relations via the website and Facebook; liaise with Council, staff and the public on District matters, process business licenses, oversee bylaw enforcement and conduct municipal elections. In addition, the Director of Corporate Affairs directs incoming correspondence for action; prepares Council reports, bylaws, policies, agreements and contracts; prepares Council meeting packages, attends, records and transcribes minutes of Council and Committee meetings; processes land development applications, prepares outgoing correspondence, and tracks action items; maintains accurate and accessible records management systems for all municipal documents; assists the Chief Administrative Officer on District matters as may be required; and ensures that corporate business is conducted within the guidelines of legislation.
