Experience the Pristine
Beauty of the Area

Stroll around Logan Lake and experience the pristine beauty of the area. Wildlife often wanders into town so be cautious and observe from a safe distance. The chances are if you spend any time in Logan Lake you will catch a glimpse of a deer, moose or one of a variety of ducks or other waterfowl that make Logan Lake their summer habitat. Another exceptional option for viewing wildlife is the Duck Pond. Take advantage of the viewing deck built especially for bird watching enthusiasts. The Logan Lake region is on a bird migratory path and is a fantastic location from which to see unusual species. The nature trail and Maggs Park walking trail is a 3.5 kilometre circuit of Logan Lake, offering mild to moderate exercise for all. Start either at the Logan Lake Campground or next to the artificial trout spawning channel. The stream pump is activated in the spring to allow the black water rainbow trout in Logan Lake to spawn. The young fish hatch and return to the lake in May and early June and can be viewed from the rail near the children’s playground in Maggs Park during the short spring spawning season.
