Enjoy Our
Fantastic Trails
From May to October the fantastic trails around Logan Lake are shared by non-motorized transportation, so hike, bike or horseback ride while you enjoy nature. There are 18km of mountain bike trails and approximately 50km of all-season trails available from this location. The flashes of blue in the area are returning bluebirds nesting in the boxes along the trails. Please respect their nesting sites and just watch or photograph them. If you time it just right, you may luck out and catch some of the forty or fifty species of local wildflowers in bloom. Some of these are rare specimens so, please, take away photographs only.

Maintained by Our Friendly Volunteers
This year you will notice three fire rings along the trails as well as more lean-tos and outhouses for hikers and those enjoying wilderness camping close to home. The energetic volunteers who build them are planning future log cabin construction for overnighters who want something more substantial than a tent. Stay tuned.
The trailhead begins at the TV repeating tower off Breccia where you will find maps with named and marked trails to take along with you.
If you want more of a challenge, there are decommissioned logging and mining roads in the area. These trails wind their way through the hills surrounding the town and can run for hundreds of kilometres. Remember to prepare properly and keep your sense of direction.

All Season Recreational Trails
As soon as the first snowfall settles on the hills surrounding Logan Lake, local volunteers and members of the Highland Valley Outdoor Association transform the landscape into a 36km network of cross-country ski trails, including 2km of lit trails for night skiing and 18km of mountain bike trails. In the summer of 2015 the trail system was extended, new trails added and some existing ones widened for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Trails are groomed for both classic and skating techniques in the winter The ski season usually starts in the first week of December and continues through March, weather permitting.
In April or May, as soon as ground conditions allow, the trail system is open for summer use. These trails are ideal for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Section 58 Motorized Vehicle Closure on trail system all year. This system is an unmonitored facility, use at your own risk.

NEED TO KNOW
