Winter Limnology – Fisheries Field Course – March 6-7, 2023

The Education and Environmental Stewardship Council Committee, in conjunction with the 2nd Year Fish & Wildlife Class from BCIT, are conducting an educational fieldtrip on Logan Lake to learn about lakes. They will be setting gill nets under the ice, for research purposes, on Monday mid afternoon, March 6th. On Tuesday morning and early afternoon, March 7th, they will be pulling the nets to see what was caught as well as conducting other work to see what other organisms are living in the lake Tuesday morning and early afternoon, March 7th. 🐟❄

The public is welcome to come out on Logan Lake during these times to observe, ask questions and learn from experts!
