Community Mourns Passing of Former Councillor Claire Newman

It is with very heavy hearts that the District of Logan Lake would like to acknowledge the sudden and tragic passing of former Councillor Claire Newman. Claire served with an open heart, mind, and soul from 2008-2022. Our deepest condolences go to her family, many close friends, and colleagues as we all mourn this tragic loss together.

The District is lowering its flags to half-mast in mourning of Claire’s passing. Please respect the privacy of her family during this time.

The Municipal Office will be accepting flowers for anyone wishing to honour her memory.

In Claire’s own words, and as we remember the light that she was, “When you can’t find the sunshine, try being the sunshine.”

She will be dearly missed.
