What’s Happening
Logan Lake will hold its General Local Election on October 17, 2026.
At the same time, residents will vote on whether to:
- Continue or repeal the Television Society frontage tax
About the TV Society Tax
The TV Society tax:
- Has been in place since 1984
- Helps fund local television rebroadcasting services
- Is collected as a frontage tax on residential properties
A 2026 bylaw set the tax to fund approximately $329,544 annually for the service or $276 per property.

Why and Assent Vote?
Council is bringing this question forward because:
- Community feedback is mixed (survey results were close to evenly split)
- Petitions have been received requesting removal
Residents will decide.
